Monarchy. Who are they? Well they didn’t even announce who they really were until about a year ago in January 2010. They were this mysterious synthpop British duo that no one really knew about. Now they’re getting some larger recognition. They are now signed with Island Def Jam Records. Most recently Monarchy has done collaborations with Benny Benassi, Ellie Goulding, and Kelis. I’m a huge fun of these guys right now. Their songs have that electro feel to them and the vocals are amazing. Check out some of their stuff:
FUN FACT: Monarchy was the first band to broadcast a live show into outer space from Cape Canaveral.

Had to post this one since people like this song. (plus the music video is hysterical) Dem Slackers really tears this song up and makes a whole new version. Download below:

Today I bring you a new single released by Mr. Martin Solveig who took the world by storm this past year with “Hello” (feat. Dragonette). Martin Solveig was not a very well known DJ/producer for many years, but his style seems to have caught the interests of electronic music lovers everywhere. My good friend went to Ultra this past March and watched him play his set, which I then listened to online later, and it was AWESOME!
Anyways, now Martin brings us “Smash” feat. Dev. It seems that when Martin pairs up with the chicks things go well for him…

Okay….Britney Spears is absolutely terrible. However, whoever her producer is, he is a effin genius. Props to whoever that guy is because everytime she comes out with a new song it is right up to par with whatever kind of beats are trending in the music industry. A.K.A. #dubstep in Hold It Against Me. Talk about perfect timing.
This brings me to the point of this post…even though Britney Spears may suck as an artist the background music/beats are awesome. And to make things better I stumbled upon an amazing remix of her song “Till the World Ends” by The Bloody Beetroots.
The duo is known for their crazy Spiderman masks and their use of a MIDI board in their live performances. (not many DJS can produce the same song from scratch live). Steve Aoki and the Beetroots produced a great track called Warp 1.9 a while back for those of you that have not heard it (with a SICK music video!!).
So here you go, Britney Spears torn to pieces by 2 Spidermans and then brought back to life:
And another Roots remix ft. The Cool Kids:
