{COLDPLAY} Every Teardrop is a Waterfall + Plus REMIX

I’ve always been a Coldplay fan since I was in high school so of course I need to post their new song. “Every Teardrop is a Waterfall” is the first single from their new album. It was obvious they were coming out with a new album as soon as their name starting showing up on these festival lists for the summer. This song sounds very much like songs from the last album Viva La Vida. Coldplay songs are just classic “feel good” songs. Can’t wait to see what else is on their album.

REMIX – (Double Digit)

{MEMORY LANE} Songs That Mean Something

How many times have you listened to an old song on your iPod and it instantly brings a memory or image from the past back? You listen to Bohemian Rhapsody and it reminds you of rocking out with friends in a car during a road trip. Or you play Laidback Luke and it feels like your right at the front of the stage again. Everyone associates music with a memory or an image. Here are some of the songs that do this for me and what they mean to me:

Dog Days Are Over ft. Gilbere Forte (Yeasayer Remix)

Memory: Cruisin down the streets of South Tampa going out for the night, getting our hungover breakfast in the morning, enjoying life. “They say we better run, nah we better hide”

Time of Our Lives – Paul Van Dyk

Memory: Driving over the first bridge to Boca Grande in the middle of the day with the crystal blue water underneath us

Love Lockdown (LMFAO)

Memory: RAGING Sophomore year of college. Blasting this song in a blue cobalt with big bass! And of course…the LMFAO concert.

Memories – Kid Cudi (David Guetta FMIF Mix)

Memory: Best friends on the dancefloor

Dice – Finley Quaye

Memory: High school

Add Suv – Uffie Ft. Pharrel (Armand Van Helden Mix)

Memory: Gasparilla after party rage time!! Oh and that night ended well… haha

So here are just a few of my favorite songs, but the main thing about these songs is that they are what I call “Feel Good” songs. Even if I’m having the worst day ever, these songs will make feel great! I’m sure all of you have those kinds of songs too.

Music therapy can cure just about anything.

{SUMMER CATCHUP} More SHM,Chiddy Bang,Beatles,Mike Posner + MORE

Happy Summer Everyone!! Sorry it’s been a while since I’ve put anything up. Hope you all like the blog so far and I promise there will be more to come this summer so you can all fill your iPods with great tunes! We are on the brink of the BIG Summer Releases, so right not I’ve just been picking up some good remixes and indie songs. So far we’ve seen Foster the People release their album with hit songs like “Houdini” and “Pumped Up Kicks” and Death Cab for Cutie (which I’m not a huge of fan anyways).

As most of you can probably already tell this is going to be a great summer for music!! In the near future I am expecting a Coldplay album release, another Black Eyed Peas album, Lil Wayne, and more. Not to mention the big hype all the music festivals are getting this summer.

But for now….enjoy some of these summer tunes:

Save The World Tonight – Swedish House Mafia (Remixes)

Chiddy Bang – Always (On My Grizzly)….(SWELLY ALERT!!!!)

Some Chill Electro….Sun (Pyramid Remix) – Caribou

iNdIe…..Cold Feet – Lost Lander

Mike Posner – The Scientist (Coldplay cover)

Come Together – The Beatles (David Starfire Remix)

Hope you enjoy it!!

{INDIE} Treehouse – Gold Fields + BONUSES!!

Most of my posts have been either house, electronic, techno, etc. So I thought I would change it up with something different.

I used to be a huge Indie and Alt Rock fan back in high school and the beginning of college (started with my obsession of music from the OC), but my music tastes have shifted somewhat since being in school. However, that doesn’t mean I have completely forgot about my indie roots.

One song that popped up on one of the blogs that I frequent was a song called “Treehouse” by Gold Fields. They were classified under dance and electronic music, but I just don’t hear that. I mean maybe the beats are electronic, but it doesn’t sound it and certainly doesn’t fit in that genre. One blog called their sound “jungle like”. Gold Fields is a five person band from Ballarat, Australia. They haven’t really ventured out of their Australia homeland too much, but with this new single they are starting to gain some speed and popularity.

Check it out! :

And the BONUSES include:

COSMIC LOVE – Florence & The Machine (you’ve probably heard this on TV for the new Reese Witherspoon movie)

And a SICK remix of it:

Sunlight – Harlem Shakes

Buldings & Mountains – The Republic Tigers (one of my all-time favorites)

{HOUSE} Hardwell – Encoded

He’s only 23 years old and the new kid on block in the dance music industry. He’s getting support from Tiesto and Guetta and after producing a bootleg of Steve Angello‘s song “Show Me Love” and Laidback Luke‘s “Be” in 2010 that became one of the biggest dance music hits that year….he’s quickly rising to fame. If you’ve seen his name recently you’ve probably seen it as “ft. Hardwell” or “remixed by Hardwell”. Over the last year he has done a variety of remixes of songs by Armin Van Buuren, Bob Sinclair, Sharam, Fedde Le Grand, Tiesto, and Steve Angello. His style is similar to Swedish House trio and somewhat close to also rookie, Nicky Romero.

Hardwell – Encoded (Original Mix)

Here are some of the mixes he’s done in the past as well:
